Citizen Journalism Unconference/PPGSummary

Dear all,

PTS(Taiwan Public Television Service) is very happy to co-host CJU of 2007 Wikimania. My name is Gwo-Hwa Ho, at present is responsible to New Media dept. in PTS.

PTS first aired Citizen Journalist platform(http://www.peopo.org) to the public on April 30, 2007. Peopo stands for People Post, meaning a clever way of doing something in Chinese, Peopo developed using free software and focusing on the Creative Commons spirit, this Citizen Journalist platform is a non-profit audio-video network that emphasizes citizen participation and commends citizen value.

In the past five months , my colleague and I passed through entire Taiwan to links the NGOs and to provide education training. Now we already have 50 NGOs or NPOs partner, and over 600 CJs joint us, generated over 1500 reports.

Above is the simple introduction of PTS CJ platform. We anticipate your opinion and the participation.
