Wikimania 2007 Taipei :: a Globe in Accord

Wikimania Golden Award rewards the best photography or graphics published in the past year to the Wikimedia projects. Contents created from 12am August 7, 2006 to 4am August 5, 2007 UTC (12pm August 5, 2007 Taipei time) is eligible to compete. All submitted items must be available under a free license.

The due time for all projects now is been extended to 4am August 5, 2007 UTC (12pm August 5, 2007 Taipei time).

Rules

  • Each project was created by the submitter.
  • Each project was created from 12am August 7, 2006 to 4am August 5, 2007 UTC (12pm August 5, 2007 Taipei time)
  • Each project is able could be used by at least two Wikimedia projects, including Wikimedia Commons.
  • Images must be available under a free license, as defined by the Wikimedia Foundation's resolution, with not copyright issues. (Images restricted to non-commercial use are excluded, for example.)
  • Images must be in JPG format only.
  • Graphic quality has to be able to print into 20cm X 30cm paper.
  • All projects can be created with any digital technologies with high accuracy to describe the subjects.

The Jury and the Evaluation

  • The jury, made of 4 Wikimedians, will evaluate the entries from 12pm to 1:30pm, August 5, 2007 UTC+8 in room 335, Chien-Tan Overseas Youth Activity Center.
  • The jury will choice the winners out of all entries. Winners will be announced in the Awards Session of Wikimania 2007.
  • The quality of each project are the most important part of final scores.

We will have the following awards. If any winner could not take the gift on site, we will ask a Wikimedian who lives in his/her country to bring the gift(s) back to him/her.
