I really enjoyed participating in both Wikimanias. I think the one in Frankfurt was phenomenal, because I was finally able to meet with active Wikipedians for the first time ever. Another added bonus was meeting Christoph Sauer, who works as a wiki researcher at the i3G Institute of Heilbronn University. I mentioned that I might be interested in working in Germany and a few weeks later I got a job offer and now I get to work on cutting-edge wiki technology every day, primarily coordinating the WikiCreole project.
I thought the most interesting part of last year's Wikimania in Boston were the lightning talks where anyone could give a 5 minute presentation about anything relating to Wikipedia. I look forward to coordinating the short film festival at the Wikimania party and it would be nice if someone could step up to the plate to run an Open Space session (unconference) a day before or after Wikimania.
