Abstract
As a local NGO in south Taiwan, Taiwan Blue Donggang Creek Conservation Association had been concernd in wide range of local issues like water source problem for years. However, we found it's hard to rooted in the civil life as those issues passed by and the public participation need to organize and empower. During August 2005 to Oct 2006, we invested in the field works named ?Popular Investgation on Culture Source of Hakka Villages ?in the Chu-Tien, Liu-Dui.The investgation used GIS to accumulte local knowledge which is a powerful information technology .We also try to use other free software like wiki, googlemap in 2007 and aim to find a compatible model to continuously build the local knowledge database.
